       Do you like to watch horror animes besides Another, Tokko, Claymore or Black Blood Brothers? Well, Higurashi no naku koro ni is quite a good horror anime I've seen so far but don't ever watch it at night because I did it once and can't sleep through the night...Its true! By the way, this anime contains horrible murdering scenes and extreme phobias, If I am not mistaken I think the story was actually from a pc game and the game was illustrated by Yatazakura, though I played the games in my PC for "Higurashi no naku koro ni Daybreak","Higurashi no naku koro ni Kizuna" and "Higurashi no naku koro ni Matsuri" and normally they are just normally arcade games, fighting games and stories but its trully fun! The anime series is released in year 2006 after the released of Air Gear series. As the anime goes on and there goes to season 1, season 2 Kai, OVAs Rei and Kira, games Matsuri and Kizuna. (although they are of different tittles but their stories are the same and linked together)
  Back to the story, the anime scenes focuses in a small town called Hinamizawa, as Maebara Keiichi just moved in from Tokyo because his parents work, he enters the only small school in theHinamizawa and make friends with another few classmates: Ryugu Rena, Sonozaki Mion, Furude Rika and Houjo Satoko and later he befriends with Sonozaki Shione, the younger sister of Sonozaki Mion. When I watched it at the beginning, its not really quite that scary but it did when reaching the climax and you'll find that people who murder and murdered were their own allies. The so called God of Oyashiro is the god of violent and miracle of town Hinamizawa, actually it doesn't seem exist to me from my view point ==. This anime is a lot more violent and scarier than the latest horror anime "Another" and I promise you guys its true!!
  Not just the story but also the soundtracks were matched perfectly. The OP of season 1,"Higurashi no naku koro ni" by Eiko Shimamiya is a horror type theme for the anime,as for the lyrics is about life which exists in death. Beside that, Eiko Shimamiya also sings for the OP of season 2," Naraku no Hana" which means flower of hell and I really love this song because it makes me cry EVERY time I listen to it! As for the ED of season 1 is " Why or Why Not" by Katakiri Reka which is already in semi-english version in the anime series. By the way, I apologize because I forgot about the ED for season 2. For the OP of OVA Rei is "Super description of data" by Eiko Shimamiya, its a rather weird and odd song but it is really nice too!~:D Finally is the ED for OVA Rei, "Manazashi" by AnNina is a GREAT song, I love it especially the chorus because its both sad and happy!! Thats all I know and remember about this anime I watched from last 2 years, you'll never regret watching it because its the best horror anime I've ever seen so far beside "Another".
